The one thing the Trump administration is doing with this is highlighting how cops designate people as gang members and put them on lists. It's like being designated a terrorist on our soil. ICE and CBP adopted the list-making strategy from local and state cops. It's all being exposed as we speak, and no one is talking about it except me.

Bukele went all in in crypto, and if I'm not mistaken, recently reversed course. Milei pulled one of those pump-and-dump crypto schemes about a month ago and is catching hell from Argentinians over it. He cost a lot of people their life savings.

I'm pondering what their crypto push to enrich themselves at citizens' expense, the citric menace's sudden 180 on crypto before the inauguration, and his inspiration from other moves of theirs means in relation to his next actions. He's already gutting the social safety net, likely raiding the money in SS & Medicaid for his own benefit. He's also mentioned the Fed issuing a US issued cryptocurrency. Is he positioning himself to control a US backed cryptocurrency that somehow enriches himself and his family?
I can't structure it in my mind right now but the meme coins as a continual pipeline to pay him off, the attacks on government agencies and crucial programs for everyday people and seniors, and his and Musk's almost worshipful adoration of Milei and Bukele, make me think there may be more to this crypto angle than I originally would have considered. If it begins to coagulate into an idea, I'll let you know. Right now it's just soup.
This recent abduction to prison pipeline illustrates why it's important to be against extralegal and illegal behavior by law enforcement, perpetrated under the guise that criminals can't be brought to justice any other way than bending the law.
Decades of Black and Brown people speculatively stopped and frisked on foot; being pulled over under false pretenses; defending against fabricated charges to justify unfounded arrests; broad profiling of Muslims as terrorists; jail holds without charges pressed; draconian sentences for crimes treated more leniently for fair-skinned people; unarmed shootings and more were accepted as the cost of doing business to keep communities safe. Very often White communities embraced this as acceptable 'collateral damage' for "public safety." Oftentimes, other minority communities accepted it happening to other minorities so long as it didn't happen to them.
What each group failed to realize is that, although these practices were deployed on other groups systematically, they were being used as precedent generally. Just because they primarily stopped, frisked, erroneously arrested and sometimes shot unarmed Black men, didn't mean the law only made it so Black men could be the only targets. After years of satisfaction in questionable, if not crooked legal practices against others, all of the precedent set on targeted groups is being rolled out globally on anyone this iteration of the state sees dangerous. Unfortunately, too many groups are content in their own privilege, and they remain there until the things they celebrated happening to others fall on them.
