I recently read an article detailing Governor Pritzker's frustration with the Biden administration's immigration policy.
Pritzker has been a strong supporter of Biden, and an ardent advocate for humane treatment of refugees, but the costs are straining Illinois budgets and there's been too little federal support. Those assigned to immigration issues don't communicate with one another, much less with state governors.
I truly don't understand why Biden 1) doesn't have a team dedicated to working effectively with sanctuary states, and 2) hasn't assembled a team of outside immigration experts to create a short and long-term immigration plan. Push it through Congress and force Republicans to explain their refusal to support the plan.
Biden is passed thinking. He is a puppet to his handlers who probably couldn't agree what day it was. The United States is teetering on the brink....a choice between Biden and Trump will certainly bring havoc and who knows what to a country I love. Millions of intelligent people live here and these 2 are what we have to pick from?????? GOD HELP US. WE WILL NEED IT MORE THAN EVER.
Interesting that you bring this up. My source at the White House told me months ago that Biden's staff had been advising him to "not touch" the border in reference to what Greg Abbott is doing. Yet, here they are seemingly advising him to make this move. You're more right than wrong I'm afraid.
Yes, appeasement has consistently been a disastrous approach to both domestic politics and geopolitics.
The answer (or partial answer) to GOP obstruction is to put the GOP on the defensive. Continually reacting to the latest GOP outrage is ineffective and detrimental to Biden's desire to project competence and control.

He should be going after Texas Governor Greg Abbott. His policies are illegal.
But that's just 1 component of a comprehensive plan that's required. Otherwise, it's continuing whack-a-mole.
I agree. He could be pressing Congress while going after Texas. I know, Republicans are always in the way. But appeasing them is no solution.

Well said. ✊🏽
