I have listened to CSPAN while driving with growing concern over the past year as these very tropes you mention are repeated again and again without fail by the Repubs, and always without any response from the Dems. The truly amazing efforts over the spring and summer of 2020 with ongoing protests to build a wider understanding of the problems with policing, injustices meted out upon whole neighborhoods, bias, brutality, surely moved some hearts and minds. I fear that these repugnant and continual efforts to blame and undermine and moreover, label as "terrorists" and request the DOJ 'look into' social justice activists, has been effective at rolling back what seemed to me like a most wonderful opportunity for the growth of our entire culture, even an evolution of society seemed somewhat in our grasp.
