On the Air: No Kings Protest, Innocent Immigrants, the Supreme Court, and More

In my latest appearance on the Latino Media Collective in DC, we discussed the No Kings protest, immigrants taken into custody in court, and more

On Friday, July 11, my appearance on the Latino Media Collective Show aired in Washington, DC. We also examined how the Department of Homeland Security is baiting innocent migrants into court with Notices to Appear and having the Department of Justice dismiss their cases. By doing so, they are removing the protections from deportation that pending immigration cases provide.

Later, we dive into the attacks on birthright citizenship and I discuss it from two perspectives: as a journalist and as a child of immigrants who has many family members at risk under the current administration.

We even plunged into how the Supreme Court often acts as an agent of chaos, Mahmoud Khalil’s release from ICE detention, and the conditions in ICE facilities.

Don’t miss it!
