With the whitewashing of Charlie Kirk’s racism throughout all of the U.S. news media ecosystem, it’s important to keep reality at the forefront. As many seem poised to normalize Kirk’s white Christian nationalist rhetoric, the talk from the consultant class about convincing voters that they should appease far-right loudmouths like Kirk continues to grow.
When Oscar Fernandez invited me to discuss this on the air in D.C., where lawmakers need to hear the truth more than anyone else, I jumped at the chance to speak up. We must remain steadfast in calling out the hate and bigotry that have become mainstream political discourse in recent years.
