Gracias Arturo for staying on this. The entrenched 63 year-old narratives are boring me to tears, so I have questions:

What does the prolonged economic stranglehold achieve? We’ve received millions of economic Cuban refugees, much at the expense of American taxpayer, a privilege no other country enjoys? Is it because Fidel Castro is still a bogeyman? Have they realized he’s dead now? Could it still bethe Helms-Burton act of 1996, that aimed to return confiscated property in 1959? Or could it be that our congressional representatives don’t want to be labeled communist sympathizers as opposed to being genocide sympathizers, or Russian, Saudi, Argentina money launderers? Why would Israel and the United States be the only ones to override the UN’s consensus regarding ending the embargo? The same two nations that don’t consider food a human right? Could it be that Cuba is sitting on the world’s third largest deposits of cobalt? Why would General Electric purchase the French electric company that provided the island with a power contract which included parts and maintenance, only to abandon the company’s contractual obligations and leave the island without electricity? What happens to their work, food and medicine? Why would DHS deport Cubans in the United States to Africa when Cuba was willing to take them back? Why spend millions in propaganda bots to further destabilize the Cuban government? What is the purpose for letting the Cuban people hang by a thread? Why is the island being emptied out?
