You’re right @Arturo. White people are afraid of the “browning of America” and are committing all manner of modern day “lynching” to slow and altogether stop it. You’re equally correct in the hard push to erase individual cultural histories and practices.

Thank you for an in-depth look at the situation. It is also tru that some Black Americans have similar concerns because they believe the hype and think the various Spanish speaking cultures overlook, deny, and attribute their “ easy (though not easy) time here had no African American/Black foundation. That angers the latter group negating the bonds which we need to have with one another.

The Browning of America includes all of its marginalized citizens and newly arrived immigrants though much is lacking for the latter group. Acceptance not assimilation is what’s needed. I’m still hopeful.

I read an interesting article that said more whites are becoming democrats and more nonwhites are becoming Republican. And not the other way around like you would think... it gave some interesting reasons.
